I spent a few hours wandering the hills just outside of town and found this decent 4pt whitey shed. The eyeguard is kinda cool, big and flat and split at the top. Lots of deer in this area and they are all doing well. The first pic is ATL.

Sweet. He should be a monster next year.

It looks pretty dark in places. Is it this years shed do you think?
-
Yeah, the light and my camera are a little deceiving. It is definitely this years shed, probably only been on the ground a week or two, maybe less.

Nice! You ought to go back and grid out the area within 100 yards in all directions from where you found that one. Bigger deer don't like the lop-sided feeling and will often try to shake the other one off or rub it off on something. Check any fence crossings in the area as well. Yes, this year's shed and he'll be a smoker buck next year with likely a split brow tines.

I spent about an hour all over the downhill side. I will be back up there for the other half soon. It was pretty deep off the beaten path. Nothing but lots of deer and a moose for miles from what I saw.

The browtine on that buck is awesome. Good luck finding its match.
