Post by: cookingdaily on September 01, 2016, 07:23:28 PM
So guys moved to the east side and have not a clue as where to go, can someone point me in the right direction? I plan on hunting the Washington, Idaho border. I know Ghost camp comes this way, any help would be appreciated

My guess is the Spok Compton Valley?  If so...1st off welcome, the wetside is a bunch of things I can not say on this site.  2nd the locals will not act very friendly until they are sure you are not a communist from California.  3rd that is all private property.  If that is the area you want to hunt get a "Inland Paper" permit for $30.  They sell them at the city of Liberty Lake City Hall, The discount smoke shop at Hauser and Whites Boots by the fairground.   There are animals there but a lot of foot traffic.  Otherwise go north to Pend Orellie Co.

I'm in Otis Orchards. As stated above, most the "public" land is private paper co. There is a ton though. If your willing to make the drive, there is public land all over the northeast corner of the state. I am sitting on a mountain near Ione as I type this.

I do most of my hunting with my family. I'd be willing to point you in the right direction though. Like I said, there is land everywhere. Send me a PM and let me know where you are and how far you are willing to travel.
