Title: Successful first morning of hunting.
Post by: predatorG on September 03, 2016, 11:07:07 AM: Finally got to go and chase some Blacktails this morning and was not disappointed. No dead deer but I rattled a doe and her two fawns in to 15 yards. Had someone told me she was a mule I wouldn't of thought twice about it. Today was my first day of rattling so I would say it was successful. Then I sat and listened to a buck rub a tree but couldn't convince him to show himself. All in all it was a great day!

Yah it really is. It looks alot bigger in the picture. There was an old ruling right there too. My dad and brother were a mile away and saw 10 deer, as well as a 500 lb black bear we named "gus" that walked head on up to about 6 yards from them. I think this'll be a good afternoon hunt. I'm satisfied with everything so far considering and did very limited scouting this summer.
