Title: Knight Bighorn 209 to Western Legal Conversion Question
Post by: Boomskin on September 19, 2016, 10:28:16 AM: I have a question. I have a newer Knight Bighorn with the 209 primer ignition system. I was comparing it to my friends gun which is the same gun but he ordered it with the Western Ignition system. Besides the different breach plug for the musket cap, it looks like the plungers style hammer assembly is shorter than mine that came with the 209 system.

On the Knight website I see that they sell the 209 conversion kit for the Bighorn and it comes with a new 209 breach plug and a new hammer assembly. Does anyone know if they sell a Western Ignition conversion kit for 209 rifles?

Post by: CP on September 20, 2016, 06:35:35 AM: I just switch breach plugs to switch between #11/musket caps and 209 primers on my Knight. Same hammer assembly.
