Title: Knight EZ Load Sabot Polymer Tip Boattail VS Barnes Spit-Fire TMZ Polymer Tip
Post by: gee_unit360 on September 25, 2016, 10:04:45 AM
What's the difference between these two bullets. I know Barnes makes the bullet for Knight, but the only difference I can see is the color of the sabot. They're both polymer tip boat tail bullets. But Knights bullet is blue and Barnes is yellow? :dunno:

For my two Bighorns, the ones from Knight with the blue sabots load MUCH easier.  Couldn't get the TMZ's down the barrel without just about breaking the ramrod or popping a vein in my forehead.  So I order the spitfire boat tails from from Knight. Been very pleased with performance on a few deer over the years. Switched to the non-tipped 285 gr version and have been really happy with those too. They slide right down the bore but stay put on the powder (verified by my worrisome frequent checking the first few hunts).

BTW,  the T-EZ flat base version straight from Barnes's didn't shoot as well out of my Bighorn. Not sure why.  They loaded nice but could get them to group as well.  Maybe just me. My buddy's Knight loves the T-EZ's.  Go figure.

Good luck!

I also buy the blue sabots from knight to replace the yellow on my TMZ 295
