so the area I am hunting on Westside muzzle I have been scouting almost everyday and the elk are still screaming at each other will the rain quite them when its suppose to start the week early season hits?
-
Perfect timing by the rain :bash:

I know right!! Damn rain, they should be pretty active and vocal still though. I don't believe the rain will matter with the elk, just our powder. Good luck guys, I hope I don't see you in the area I'm going :chuckle:

They do but it sounds like they're gargling.

We had one screaming at us in that nasty storm we had last Saturday. It was sideways raining where we were and he was still herding his cows and screaming at us.
-
yeah, they still scream in the rain. Harder to hear it from distance though, especially if creeks are rising.

Looks like it's going to be cold and wet in the Cascades. Rain/snow mix in the forecast where I'm headed. I've been hitting the muzzleloader season for the last 6 years and it seems like it's been balmy every year until now. Hopefully it makes for some good hunting.
