After 25 years of bowhunting I am no longer able to draw my bow. Going to the Ione area, GMU's 111, 113, 117 for the muzzle load deer/elk hunt Oct. 1st. What should I do so as to NOT piss off the locals around Ione? I'm new to this forum, thanks for the help.

I have hunted muzzleloader in those GMU for many years. Never had any issues with locals. But be prepared to have a run in with Boarder Patrol if farther north. They are nice but will ask what you are doing on a dirt road at 330am

Just hunt, there's a ton of national forest in those units. No need to worry about pissing off locals as long as you're not trespassing.

Cross the river in Ione and head east into the hills.
