Title: Scoped Slug Shotgun or Iron Sights?
Post by: SeatoSummit88 on September 28, 2016, 11:40:12 AM
Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to ask peoples preferences and thoughts on hunting big game with a 12 gauge rifled shotgun; using a scope or going with an open sight?

  thanks!

Iron sights, no, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

For short ranges - out to 75 yards - I'd go with a red dot type sight - if shooting beyond that, a scope

Thanks CP.  I will take a look at the red dot style.  The scope/barrel combo (both mossberg/remington) is hard to find in stock at stores right now.  Should have planned better; don't know if I can get one by this weekend!
