I shot this guy in the bottom of a draw just bellow Lower Granite Dam. I just came over the ridge as he walked out of the brush. He was 200 yards away almost strait down hill. I had to stand on the edge of a cliff to get a shot. The entry hole went strait through his back and came out his belly just behind the front legs.

nice buck. Well earned one at that.

Congrats on the buck. I've always enjoyed hunting the breaks of the Snake River. Grew up hunting the breaks just above Wawawai.

Do you hunt the garfield county side or Whitman county?
-
The Whitman county side

Yea its rough country but its the way I like it.

I hunt the snake river breaks also. Thats a nice buck. You have to get into the steep stuff to get away from the guys who run all over on the quads :bash:.
-
Yea its getting bad with people coming off the river and sneeking up the bottom. Roll a few rocks and they scatter ;)

Nice buck, I hope you got checked out for ticks after that hike :yike:
