Packed everything up Thursday night and headed to the Colockum at 3:30 am Friday morning to see if I could fill my tag on the last day. I brought my Wife along beings she had never been there and really wanted to see the country. After three hours of pounding the hills we ran into a half dozen elk bedded. They popped up and looked at us and the rear cow was broadside at 60 yds. I pulled up off hand and put the 275 grain bloodline in her, she made it 40 yds and piled up. It was great to have my wife by my side to see how fast things like this take place.

Nice, congtats! My wife's role in my hunting activities is to express relief when I come home empty handed and complain when I get something. And I can't imagine how much less she would want to eat game meat if she were witness to the blood & guts. :chuckle:
