This is my second buck. I took advantage of buying two deer tags in Idaho. I'm not sure how to copy the link, but the first buck I got is under "My Idaho Buck". I left with enough time to scout 1 1/2 days. Found some nice bucks. On the opener I locate the herd I seen the morning before about 75 yards from where they where feeding the day before. I made a stalk which probably took an hour to get into range. I seen three big bucks at 175 yards. I picked the best of the three and shot. Which turned out to be a miss :bash: Thn about ten seconds later a buck came running out of the draw at me. He stopped at 75 yards and looked back up the hill away from me. I almost past him because he was a lot smaller then the other bucks. But I decided to take him and I'm glad I did because he's a solid buck. I boned him out then spent till about 4 pm packing him out. Then hung him in a tree for the night a half mile from the truck. I was about three miles in, in rough terrain. The next morning I packed him out. Then got a flat tire and had to go get it fixed. I was tired and very sore. But I only had four days to hunt. So I hiked into a new spot that was very tough to get to physically. I changed shirts because the one I wore in was wet. The wind was blowing about 30 and it was very very cold. I put on all my clothes and got in a rock patch that was kinda out of the wind and glassed. I finally set my pack over the top of my legs because I was shaking bad enough from the cold it was hard to glass. After about 1 1/2 hours this buck stepped out. I set up my pack on a rock and ranged him at 435. I waited until my nerves calmed to make the shot. Then I packed half of him out. And will pack the rest out today.
Great season, great views, I'm feeling blessed :IBCOOL:

@cooltimber
Kenetrek boots. In that type of country you need there support and traction. In my option the are with the money.

Nice buck

I think you need a partner next year(hint, hint). Great job on doubling up!

What a masher buck! Congratulations.

Right on, they seem to get some big bucks at the end of season. This year I think there has been a lot of snow up high. This should help out a lot. Good luck. I hope you guys find a giant.

What does she charge for skull cleaning?
Looks awesome, you taking it to the Sportsman show?
-
I think its $150 for deer then $225 for elk.
This buck will not be at the show. He's 180 class.
My moose will be at the show this week end I'm curious if it will go all time awards or not.
I rotated the pic

I guess the mass makes him look bigger, awesome buck no matter the score.
-
Lack of eye guards and the one fork is bad. This keeps him away from being 190's

The right side G3-4 fork?
-
Yea
-
Interesting the way she angle cut the top of the nose back.
At least that's how it looks in the pic.
-
I'm not sure I see what you mean. I will have to compare the two she did to others I have had done by others.
-
Might just be the picture angle.
-
I don't see an angle cut on the nose. looks like a standard euro job.
-
I don't think it's anything different than a normal euro mount. Could just be the angle
