I've got a buddy who is looking into hunting Vashon island. I have not seen it in the regs but I thought I remember it being limited weapons during modern. Is this the case? Are there any weapon restrictions on the island during modern deer? Thanks for the clarification

It is confusing, but on page 90 in the regs Vashon/Maury Island are noted in the King County firearm restriction.

Thanks. I was just on the king county firearm restrictions prior to posting and over looked it. Thanks for having me reread that section. Totally clear of the restrictions in the area.

Island center park is no rifles

Let me put it in plain English. This is for the entire Vashon/Murray islands
Shotguns with slugs or buckshot, so long as they meet the minimum/maximum gauge and you are beyond the minimum distance from an occupied dwelling
Handgun w/straight wall cartridge that meets the minimum power level and caliber so long as you are beyond the minimum distance from an occupied dwelling
Legal archery tackle
Practically any configuration of muzzle loader that meets the minimum and you are beyond the minimum distance from an occupied dwelling
Crossbow tackle that is legal for hunting big game

so grenades are a no go?
