I am in Yakima for a conference an I am looking to go calling tomorrow, looking for any suggestions. I went on Monday afternoon in the Umtanum left Ellensburg and ended up by Wenas lake, can anyone tell me if and how you can get closer to the Yakima river on LT Murry land?

take the canyon road between selah and ellensburg. it follows the river the whole way and there are a few different places to cross into the LT Murray

PM sent :)

you can hunt from the durr road. it parallels the river from just out side selah almost to ellensburg.

You were wher you needed to be. Theres an access road or two right by the lake. LOTS of coyotes out there. They come out of the farmers stuff in Wenas creek and range out there. They cross freely through the game fence.

Thanks Guy's for all the info I will give it another shot

I worked the north end of Durr Rd last Monday and didn't see anything, might try further south. Larry

Thanks again for the help, I had time to do several sets and saw lots of tracks in the snow but had no luck calling anything in I think it had a lot to do with the wind swirling around. But never the less you guy 's put me in the right spot. And as "I always say the worst day calling is far better than the best day working".
