Last week Sadie my oldest Golden was spared having to battle her cancer any more. I've posted her here in the past. She was 13.

She was able to go out to the river the day before the vet came out to the house for a few very slow but precious retrieves.

My little minions will never be the same.

I just said a prayer for you and yours.

Thank you all for kind words and just taking the time to look at the thread.
Sadie was great, actually a good huntress for retrieves. She gave the chuckers and quail heck in the lower Clockem and Quincy for years. She would whine and wag when when she saw a shotgun. Her real spirit though was giving care and comfort to so many people on Hospice and or dementia in our facility. She always checked on all the people several times a day. It was a good goodbye surrounded by her family. It is hard, but it is good.
I may put up some pics of her in her prime for a tribute later.
Thank you once again,
Jay
