Title: GMU 163 Marengo
Post by: gavinboone on October 28, 2016, 06:09:01 PM
Has anyone hunted GMU 163 (Marengo) in January? From the looks of my schedule I most likely wont be able to get away until after the first of the year. (Plus, took too many vacation days early season) I am wondering if anyone may have some info they could share? Such as, is the snow too deep to get to public land? Is there enough elk around to spend my time driving all the way over there (I live about 50 miles northeast of Seattle)? Any information would help and is much appreciated.

:yeah: it is a long drive down there. It's not much mountain country. Farmland for the most part.

There is a lot of private ground and not all wind farms have public access.  Read the maps carefully
