I am posting this for my hunting partner and friend. It is a simple story. He had been going out since opening day. He saw a lot of does and small spikes. There was one day where he ran into a nice 3 point, but could not get a shot off. He was driving around Sunday (yesterday) with his wife and their son; they drove past a clear cut, and spotted the buck right in the middle. He pulled over; made a steps and dropped him in his tracks. It was his son's first time seeing a deer; you can tell how excited he was to tug on those horns. I think he may be hooked! Great buck for the area and meat for the freezer!

Ya. He definitely had a good stroll with the family. Haha. I have another picture I am trying to upload. We were talking last night and he sent it over. I guess his wife ranged 300 from where he was first standing and by the time he got to a secure spot to pull off the shot, he was around 250 yards. My buddy faced him almost straight on and put it right above the chest; it went through the neck, double lunged him. He said the deer did an instant jump into black flip and rolled about 50 yards. He has it hanging now. Can't wait for back strap dinner soon. I'll work on the "as he lays dead" picture.
