I'm looking for some advice on blacktail deer hunting on Whidbey Island. I went to Trillium Community Forest over the weekend and had no luck. I saw quite a few trails and even fresh tracks, but no poop. I didn't even see a deer let alone get a shot at one. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about hunting Trillium or ideas on how to hunt these phantom deer. I'm not looking for a huge buck or anything, I just need meat in the freezer.
