Looks like he saw you too

Great shot! You caught that moment in time when your heart jumps and skips a couple of times as you catch him peeking in to see just what the hell is not right in his world. In my universe, the next millisecond after this is often filled with flying dirt and mass confusion as the animal seems to almost defy gravity as it noisily exits stage left. Busted again!

Ya he had kind of trotted off but the does stayed put then he came back around and watched me. I took the pic with my phone through my binos

I was over at TR&R yesterday and every buck I saw was solidly in rut mode, does were also walking around w/their tail stuck straight out.

JD - where's TR&R. I'm not a local anymore. Tacoma?

Tacoma Rifle & Revolver Club - we have a little herd that lives on the property. I have a friend with one of the last large undeveloped parcels on Chamber's Creek and there are some real masher bucks that cycle through there every day or so
University Place right down the street from where they play golf at

I know the area well. I grew up down at Titlow Beach and used to fish Chamber's Creek back in the highschool days. My parents later moved out to Lakewood/Oakbrook GCC and I used to climb down into the creek from that south side in my college years. I wish I'd been a hunter then!
A shooting range seems like a funny place for deer to hang out. The temptation must be extreme!
