I bought a Exped Synmat UL 7 almost 3 years ago. While on a trip this fall the seam split, but still held air. It basically pulled 2 chambers into one and thus I had a big air pocket that was 5 inches tall instead of 3 1/2 inches like the rest of the pad. Well in between trips the folks at REI suggested I reach out to Exped (along with my wife suggesting). I didn't have much hope since it was 6 months out of warranty in rough terms.
Outcome - Long and short of the story, I spoke with Exped and they said return it and they will check it out. Today in the mail, 10 days after returning it, I received a brand new sleeping pad.
I am very impressed with this company's customer service on an inflatable sleeping pad. Thought I would give the public thumbs up on this one.

love hearing when companies respond like this.
so many should realize that the return business, or the word of mouth business they will get from acts like this go much further than what it costs them to tell customers to go kick rocks.
i bet now anytime anyone asks you about a sleeping pad, this story will come up and they will end up with an exped.
glad it worked out for you

we have a "which company's have you boycotted" thread going.
I will start a "Which company's will you go out of your way to support" The positive spin is so much more important to me.
