Yes, you can hunt with a bow during modern firearm elk season with a modern firearm tag (great for firearm restricted areas).

And u CAN dispatch ur wounded animal with your pistol as long as the pistol is it legal to hunt with. I believe you can use a crossbow with a scope as well without a disabled permit during modern firearm season with a modern firearm tag
