Where are all the upland birds in this county? I have spent a alot of foot time in so far this season and not flushed a single dad gummed feather in Grant county. I hiked the majority of the Buckshot, and lower crab creek pheasant release sites. Though I am out to shoot all upland species, I have seen none which is surprising given the harvest statistics for thd county. Anybody help me out here? I do well enough here in benton county but I wanted to explore grant after seeing the stats.
The pic is a pair of roosters from opening day, snake river.

Man I saw a bunch of quail in the sage brush on the north entrance to buckshot the other day. I didn't get out and shoot them though.

Try Gloyds north of moses lake. Dogs are a big help. hunt the wet areas. weather being warm the birds have been flushing 50-75 yds in front of the dog. Watch in front of you. Quincy wildlife area is another area to try.
