Title: Last three days
Post by: Trapper John on November 17, 2016, 09:16:08 PM

The last three days have been pretty good crabbing over in Edmonds.  I caught one Dungenest and 13 Red Rock crabs.   :EAT:  Crab cake are on the menu in a day or two.

Nice work.

Are you crabbing from a pier because thats a high red rock to dungy ratio...

Do you prefer the red rocks over dungys?

No I'm crabbing from the Pier because I don't have a boat to get out away from the Pier.
I do like the Red Rock but will take either one and this area has red rock so at least you should go home with red rock if the Dungenest aren't in.

Everett Pier has Dungenest but most of them are small.  You'll pick up one or two every now and than
Mukelteo Pier has both too but it is a real small Pier and can get over crowded with people quickly.
So Edmonds, turns out to be the best over on this side of the pond.
Seattle I hear is good but I won't go to Seattle.  (driving in there, tolls to get there and pay parking down there)

I love red rock crab, tough bitch to clean and deal with the "shattering of shell" but the pincher meat, and next couple legs are worth it.
