Title: Wyoming Antelope in 2017
Post by: dc on November 18, 2016, 11:37:03 AM
I have 6 Wyoming antelope points, and plan on cashing them out in 2017.  Any suggestions on where I might burn them.  I have a few ideas, but nothing in stone yet.  I'm not appose to paying the special price if it will make that big of a difference in quality area.

Look at unit 100. It's a blue chip eastmans unit, however the pressure does play a lot more into it. Trophy potential and amount of lopes is solid. Think with point creep next year it will 6 with special for 100%. I got it this year with 5 and special. Has a large track of hma with some great goats. Also a solid amount of ground open to the public. There is not a ton of tags but the best goat hunting is in a couple smaller areas of the unit. So kinda stacks guys up. A lot of the locals just drive around in there trucks and don't get out and hunt much. If you can find a few spots the roads don't go into you can do very well and there is some dandy goats in there. Also if you are out at first light all the better. Most of the locals seem to wait tell about 10 to get out and start hunting for them, kinda just a extra for them. Where guys like me are nuts for them lol
