Title: Kitsap snows?
Post by: YoungFowler on November 20, 2016, 11:18:28 AM
I saw a couple snow geese feeding in a field with a flock of Canadas and mallards today in kitsap. Is that rare? I've never seen them down here before.

It is not a staging area for them, but you will see them mixed in the flocks as they push through.  Becoming a lot less rare as the population expands.

I suppose when they mix it up a bit with Canada's they could be found just about anywhere along the flyway. I saw one in with about 200 Canada's between Randle and Packwood week before last.
