Title: Adding a picatinny rail to synthetic stock
Post by: tbrady on November 22, 2016, 07:56:15 AM
Hi All-

Has anyone tried adding a picatinny rail to a synthetic stock?  I recently bought a Bell and Carlson stock for my 300WSM which only came with 1 swivel stud on the foreend.  I want to add a second hole so that I can attach a SRS picatinny rail that has the swivel stud on one end.  I've looked at the various adapters which attach directly to the stud but I don't like them as they are about 1/2" thick...

Anyway, I've not found anyone that has tried this online so thought I would check with the folks here!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Extremely easy... Should be able to use the same hole, or drill a new one... Hit the hardware store, which is nice cause in Carnation, the hardware store is also the liquor store  :chuckle: Find some screws with a low profile head and some washers, I've used rubber washers so they don't damage the stock and they'll also work as lock washers too! Easy cheesy...
