For all of you guys that have been here for awhile, when typically do the Blacks begin to get their nap on for the year westside and middle section?
Ever come across dens late in season/early spirng?
Check out this picture, we found it early spring under a tree stump, small bear but was out like a light... Never woke or anything, went back two days later it finally moved on, probably from rain exposure once the snow was gone. This was early May, near Anchorage...

Cool picture, the bear over here on the east side of the US down where I am don't hibernate in the winter doesn't get cold enough for them.

Cool picture. I caught one yesterday taking a nap in the middle of an opening. I saw him and thought...hmmm they don't rang cattle here. He was sleeping off a bunch of hall berries I guess.
