Title: Walleye in Wenatchee?
Post by: Camo on December 04, 2016, 10:50:40 PM
Thinking about a trip next week if this cold spell pushes through. This is kinda a "bucket list" trip, as I ended up with some leave I gotta burn. Anybody have any experience with this fishery this time of year? The few reports from the typical spots appear pretty slow for some reason?

The Wayyyyy to big of limits and insane amount of pressure have finally taken a toll on potholes and moses. It actually to a year longer than I was predicting, but it happened. I wouldn't waste your time in this area. The good news is the crowds are all but gone. We fished the northwest walleye championship on potholes in august with the best of the best and we were the only team to weigh 6 fish both days, to say it was a scratch would be stretching it. I havn't heard much from the Wenatchee area, so cant help you there.

Finley area for the wall hanger. I still can't believe no limits on walleye and bass in the big C. I guess fish and wildlife really want to save the salmon.

Fish and wildlife want to manage as little possible. Easiest crowd to target with the spiny rays. Pathetic

Next week, use it or lose it. Figured with everything being dead, it might be a good time to explore new water. "Rumor" had it that this was one of the two better times? Just looking for a picture fish or two if lucky. I have stayed away from Tri-cities because my sled does not fish well in the wind and that is a pretty good time investment for me to get blown off, as it seems to be pretty windy over there without a lot of areas to get out of it? May need to find another guinea pig to volunteer since it is not two-pole endorsement water?

Walleyeguy, any good report sources, with NWW being so dead?
