Stillwater area warning, active (illegal) trapping watch your dogs
A friend was out training with his Britney today at Stillwater off Fay Rd and his dog got trapped in a wire snare that had been set. The snare was placed 50-75 yards down the hedge row to the north within the safe area off the Fay Road parking lot. He could not tell if bait was placed but the dog was caught around the neck and had to be freed.
This appears to be illegal trapping as it was clearly set as a neck hold trap prohibited under RCW 77.15.194.
Here is a picture he took of the trap. WDFW has been notified and is investigating.

Talked to my buddy today, no updates but he disabled this one after he got his dog out. The warden was looking into it.
