From another site, modified to fit here, but true of the silly nit-picking that goes on nonetheless:
Forgive me, fellow hunters: I have committed sins against Hunt-Wa, and my transgressions are many...
#1. I was stunt shooting with a .270 Winchester
#2. I used a conventional CNC bullet, NOT a Nosler Partition
#3. I used a Remington 700. It didn't fire by itself, and the bolt handle didn't fall off...
#4. It was not nestled in a McMillan stock!
#5. Horror of Horrors...the scope mounts were windage adjustable
#6. The scope was a 2x7 Redfield Revolution, barely got the job done without a European name...
#7. There was no blue tape or ballistics charts to be found on the rifle.
#8. I did not install a cobra sling holding 5 emergency rounds of ammo.
I am riddled with guilt. I ask you, my friends, what can I do to make up for all these lapses in judgment?

Nice rifle and nice pig. How was the meat?
Can't beat the 270 Win.
-
:tup:I have that very same scope. I love it, and I had enough money left over to buy OTC loads

Three Hail Marys and two Our Fathers and you will be right with the world!

Hi Bob, I didn't get to try the meat. I borrowed the post from another hunting website.

Things are getting a little slow. :chuckle:

It would have been a better story if you went traditional, and used the knife instead of the rifle....just sayin.
-
I am not that tough- perhaps you can illustrate?
-
I understand your grief. For I too have and do commit those same sins.............

I would have said the obvious a big slab of BBQ pork ribs would go a long way to may up for your lapse in judgement............
But since it is not your pig, well your just screwed,
LOL

I think the only fair sentence for a crime of this magnitude is sentencing you to read every single post about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton for the next two weeks. If you fulfill that obligation and demonstrate a truly contrite attitude for this atrocious behavior, all further consequences will be forgiven.

Not gonna lie...I like the knife better than the rifle.

Must have been his lucky day ! Get with it man, that pig would be twice as dead if they were properly geared up:
#1. 6.5 Creedmor or 338 Lapua
#2. Berger Bullets
#3. Carbon Fiber Stock
#4. 20 MOA base with Titanium Mounts
#5. Atacr or NXS Scope or at least Euro Scope with HD glass & Turrets
#6. 1600 yd Rangefinder or G7
#7. Full Camo Outerwear - Kuiu or Sitka - with rifle stock hydro-dipped to match.
#8. Havalon Knife with Benchmade Backup

Looks like a 700 Mountain Rifle, those are pretty nice.

Tell ya what, you go ahead and send that ugly ole thing my way, I'll even pay for shipping, and all will be forgiven.
And just to show I'm a kind hearted soul, down the road if you find you just can't bare to live with that rifle anymore, my offer will forever be good, send it my way and I'll pay the shipping. ;)
