Title: .54 t/c refinished
Post by: cooltimber on December 16, 2016, 10:50:16 AM: bought this .54 15 yrs ago and have beat the stock up.So I sanded for hour's.THen with a damp rag as to take out the dust and wiped it down..Then a total of three coat's of boiled linseed oil..Each time I put the stock next to the heater[stove].Let it dry for a day,then put another coat on.

Ole cabinet maker taught me that trick! Linseed and a hot stove!! Finished it with a coat of bee's wax!(toilet seat ring!)
