On my way home from Spokane I was driving down the Addy/Gifford road and I saw a deer just off the road to the right. As I got even with it , I saw it was a very big buck. I'm yelling " look at that big buck" to my wife and as I get past it looked like blood all over the back of the buck. I slowed down but got past it before I could confirm. Then just in the road ahead is a very large coyote. He's looking back at the buck and I'm trying to run it over. The coyote was so interested in the buck that I stopped , got out of the truck , and yelled and clapped my hands at the POS. He barely ran into the woods before I left. NO gun in the truck..ARRRRRGHHH. I would imagine that buck is dead by now..This happened within 25 yds of one house and 100yds from two others. Hate them suckers.

I was driving around with my wife in a semi residential area awhile back. There was a coyote hanging out in the ditch right next to the road. I could have easily shot it but she didn't think I should and it would have started something I want no part of after 31 years of marriage so I didn't shoot it. I still wish I would have been alone. I think I could have killed it with my 9 mm glock carry gun.
You might want to get a car/truck gun for future opportunities. :twocents:

I "always carry"......except when I go to Spokane... need to rethink that. I never go outside without some sort of weapon and always carry when home day or night.

I watched three yotes 2 weeks ago following a 5x5 elk that appeared to have something wrong with its left rear hoof (hoof rot?). These yotes would get within 20 feet and kept following it. Some deer appeared and they chased the deer but I'm sure they'll be back on the bull waiting for a big meal. I was going to start duck hunting now that archery elk is done but might go right after predators, sure seems like a bunch this year.

Come shoot all the coyotes you want. I just came in from outside (10 o'clock). We had coyotes 50 ft from the lodge to the north sounding off and a bunch 200 yds to the south going crazy. They pretty much know when they hear me come outside they shut up. The deer around the house are pretty much on edge and very spooky right now. Did not get a look at any of the coyotes . I have a green light on top of the scope on my .223 and a Fenix 75 flashlight. Sick of them.

If it makes you feel better..... I was rolling down 97 coming out of Goldendale and a yotee came out off the ditch on the passengers side and the driver front tire gotem.!!!!! :IBCOOL:

Way too many Coyote's in your area. Know a few people south of you that claim they have never seen so many as this last couple years. A guy I know posted pictures on his fb page of a BIG buck that coyotes chased out onto a frozen lake and killed last week. They don't get much hunt pressure around there. I would love to go do some calling and shooting. When I was a kid living in the Hunters area I don't remember a single time that we didn't call in something in any time we made a stand. Used to kill lots of them.
