Hello everyone!
My son was just given an old .22 for an early present by his grandfather. The same rifle he was given when he was the same age (an old Winchester 69a). We live in East Vancouver and I would love to take him out to hunt for some rabbits. I haven't done that since I was a kid myself. Any suggestions on where to go? I'm willing to travel a bit. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Nowhere near town, up somewhere in the hills. There's rabbits down by the river on lower river road, buy you need a shotgun, and steel shot

I'd think Mt Hood area would have quite a bit of area, but not sure what his license and stuff would be for Oregon though.

That would require an out of state license and hunter safety coerce. How old is your son? Does he have a Washington license?

My son is 13. Thanks for the replies by the way. On lower river road, wouldn't the police get called? I've thought about just driving up on Larch and walking along one of the old logging roads that are bermed off to prevent traffic down them.
