Title: Freezer Alarms - Wireless?
Post by: NRA4LIFE on December 22, 2016, 02:26:16 PM
Hey all,

Do any of you have freezer alarms for over temperature conditions?  And if so, do you have them alarmed to your smart phone via wireless and some kind of "app"?  I'm a tech idiot so please be kind.  I'd be interested in what brand or model you are using.

I use the Nexia system in my home.  I use a fortrezz sensor in both my freezers for temp alarm.
It sends me an email alert if one of my pre-set thresholds is reached.
It also alerts me on my thermostat.

THey also have home security products.  It's schlage compatible so it works with their door locks.  Really cool system, not too pricey either.
Although I get it all at wholesale prices

I already had the Nexia thermostat for my heating system, so adding other components was a breeze.

I use a cheapo wireless sensor for my 3 freezers, keep the base in the house where I would here it if an issue. The freezers are in an exterior room that's not heated/cooled(sunroom)
Have had them for several years and continue to work fine, just need to put batteries in them periodically.
