Just received "unofficial" word that the counts didn't meet the quotas required. Unless this cold snap brings down more birds or a second count happens it's looking pretty bleak!
3rd flyover today it appears they counted over 6k brant. The cold may have helped push more birds in or made the scattered ones hungry. :dunno: Looks like full season. We will see what the officials say.

Dang that sucks. This was one of my hit list birds for the year. Just have to wait till next I guess
