Title: Fish Lake (near Leavenworth) in early April?
Post by: mmullins on January 07, 2017, 11:16:30 PM: We are going to be getting a cabin with some family on fish lake the first week of April. I have been up there once before but it was in the summer. How's the fishing in early April? I am planning on bringing my 9' pontoon to do some trout fishing. Will there still be ice on the lake in early April?

Post by: Wenatcheejay on January 08, 2017, 12:07:55 AM: I love that little lake. It is good for trolling or still fishing for trout. Bring bug repellant even in April. (Better to have it and not need it.)

If you can get on the lake,the fishing should be good/great.

Post by: Angry Perch on January 09, 2017, 03:49:15 PM: Ice was completely gone by march 20th this year. Trout are generally pretty cooperative when the ice goes out.

Post by: WAcoueshunter on January 13, 2017, 11:08:05 AM: Probably good to pass, early April is 50/50 whether the ice is gone. Last year was really early, and I think 2015 was pretty early as well. But 2014 the ice broke up on opening day of turkey season, so April 15 or so. Fishing was awesome that first day. But the day prior you would have been ice fishing off the dock.
