:yike: this was stated in a article in the Yakima herald. farrow deer introduced to our area are carrying lice that have infected east side deer. the west side deer have already been infected now its hitting the east side as well. so the hunters that like to bring home the hides and such from the kill should seriously reconcider doing this, the lice that the deer are caring also infect other animals as well and no telling what they could do to humans. the fallow deer lice usually kill what ever they infect. this article was in Friday's Yakima herald section a. i might have missed a few things but that's the jist of it. as if our hunting couldn't get any worse. :'(

This is nothing new. The deer around Yakima and Naches have had this lice issue for sometime now. That's why the population have been really poor. They have not had the fur to carry them through the winter. Fish and Game are hoping they build up a tolerance to the lice. (Go Figure) It will be piss poor over there for years.
