They are easier to find in the spring because they have to feed on green grass to get there digestive system jump started after hybernation. Fall bears are eating anything and everything.

They can be easier to find in the spring....IF you're in the right area. if you find the right area in the fall it can be great. The snow pack will determine spring success rates.

140...not bad. You are catching up with me. Since I put in for points I may be able to lend a hand depeding on what you get drawn for.

I don't think it is about advantage as much as it is about a hunting opportunity.
But a couple advantages would be prime hides, less hunting pressure.
