Post by: Gobble Gobble on January 16, 2017, 05:48:18 PM: I saw 4 Baldies Friday along the Yakima River while passing through Yakima. Its nice to see them. I like to watch the pelicans circle around on thermals up and down the river in the summer.

Gobble Gobble- there is more on the yak than I have seen in the last couple years.. it's great to see them.. starting to see more and more golden eagles also :IBCOOL:

Looks like the BIF shots are of a not quite mature Bald Eagle.
I got a couple of them last week.

I seen a nice mature Golden up by oak creek, but I wasn't packing glass.

Post by: cbond3318 on January 17, 2017, 08:01:29 AM: Awesome shots! There were quite a few Adult Eagles along the Columbia between Hood River and the Dalles, including one massive Golden! No shots of those unfortunately. I have a couple I'll find from a young Bald near vantage...

Post by: Gobble Gobble on January 17, 2017, 09:39:13 PM: When I used to work on the Yakima Training Center at Range Control I'd frequently see a pair of Golden Eagles perched on the power poles along the way. Was fortunate to see one make a dive onto a rabbit one day.
