So Athens plans to release their bows starting the 25th with the flag ship called the revelation 31"ata 6" brace 352ibo followed by a 37"ata bow then the 33.5" ata 347ibo bow.

I am not a fan of any short brace under 7".  Speed is over rated, in this state at least.  Who is Athens??

Family ran company in Indiana. I love extra speed for around here so I can shoot in the heavy cover some times. 6" brace height bows can be good for a few things like short draw.

How does speed help in cover?

Flat shoot mean less arc through limbs ect.

I like speed too but feel when you get faster you have less penetration in many cases.  I have experimented with illegal light weight arrows and find broadheads can flutter/plane and lose accuracy.  My bow is rated @ 333ibo and super light arrows are great with field points but not great with broadheads, mechanicals would help but I don't use them.   Not sure what is really better but I prefer a heavier arrow and head. Heavy is less influenced if it does hit small twig/leaf.

I've pushed the rad mad man heads at 340fps and had good flight to 60 yards. I know some heads do seem to plane out really bad. I try to hang in the 300fps range, pin gap is good and it's still a heavy enough arrow to get over penetration.

Yes I agree.  I am down 280-290 and happy with it but that's with fixed blades.  Rad man heads?  Research time.. :chuckle:

Love fixed blade heads tried mechanical heads and the blades didn't far to well at 300fps in foam.  Looks like I'm going to be a dealer for athens come the end of February I'll have a few of the new bows around for people to try if anyone wants too.
