Post by: 724wd on February 01, 2017, 09:52:55 AM: I saw a cow and calf one time behind the house on the west side of the road at the top of the hill headed towards spokane, just before Arrow/Pape' Machine. I thought their horses had gotten out, but when i looked closer, it was a big cow and a small calf. must have been 10-11 years ago.

Post by: KP-Skagit on February 01, 2017, 09:56:16 AM: I have seen a cow and a decent bull on Kamiak Butte east of Colfax (separate days). Also saw a guy packing some sheds out by Albion. They are all over Moscow so its not hard to believe they are in the Colfax/Pullman area.

Post by: elkboy on February 01, 2017, 10:21:04 AM: We have a moose or two swing through Union Flat every winter. Several years ago, a cow spent most of her winter down there.

You will also see them south of Pullman near Bald Butte, or up by Kamiak Butte (as KP-Skagit pointed out), especially in the winter.

Post by: WSU on February 01, 2017, 10:41:44 AM: I probably saw them between 5 and 10 times during my time at WSU. It seemed that they would stay in one location for a decent amount of time and I'd see them repeatedly in the same spot.
