We hunted hard and produced some solid birds for a Snohomish county end of season hunt. Below you'll see a picture of Bella. She was patiently waiting for us to drop some more birds. She made a couple dandy retrieves. One on a diving wigeon she just wouldn't give up on and a 2nd on a mallard that was dead but locked his wings and went a couple hundred yards with my girl in hot pursuit. There's a couple glory pictures too. Not a bad weekend All mallards, wigeon & pintail.

Bella looks pretty satisfied with the results of her hard work...well done

That's great! She looks very similar to my girl. Once in a life time dog right there

Yep, the main reason I still bird hunt is to watch my pup do her thing. When your in the blind, I think she's watching the sky harder than I am at times. I've had several labs over the years. They've all been good hunters, but each one has their own unique personality.
I agree with you BD1, Warren has some good bloodlines. I think Bella has about one more solo season coming before I bring home a new puppy to get the next generation started. Then it begins again...

Sounds like a great plan Goldeneye  That truck doesn't look right without two dogs in the back. Unfortunately life took up all but about 4 trips into the field this year. Going to really put in the work with Cedar this off-season...going to build a blind by the pond and really work on etiquette. She is young but now is the time to get it right. Don't be a stranger.
