My son has one and loves it.  I want to say it is a 8'6" or  a 9' 4 weight.  Its a pretty fast action.

I'm looking at the 9 ft 6 wt. All my current rods are pretty soft to moderate. Would like at least a little faster action.

No help on the VXP, but I have a link to some discontinued Sage One rods for $495, if you're interested?

I have the spey rod vxp in 6W 12' 6". I love this rod , it's light and very responsive and has plenty of back bone for my winter fishing as well.
