Lets see pictures of all your Mancaves! Something to get us through the winter miserable blues that seems to set in after all the big game seasons close! Something to help us dream about next years draws, seasons, and adventures. (Big Game mounts is what I'm referring too and cool ways you've set up your room or home) Horns, Europeans, shoulder mounts, and full body mounts and anything else that looks cool to you!!! I'm tired of all the cold and snowy weather that has seemed to keep me in and bored watching hunting shows for hours on end to my wife's displeasure!!!!

That's unreal dvolmer!

All them have been shot by me and my kids (six daughters and one son). All 5 bulls shot in Washington. Out of all the mounts you see, this is the breakdown, 4 from Wyoming, 6 from Montana, and 16 from Washington (older ones out hanging in the garage). All shot in the last 11 years. I have a 6x6 bull from Montana and a nice Antelope from Wyoming at the taxidermist now. Should get them back in the next few months if my wife doesn't catch me!! Come on! Lets see yours!!! (I'll show you mine if you show me yours!!! he he he)
-
I tried dvolmer keeps saying I posted the pictures but I don't see them? Great mounts and cool thread I read the old one on mancaves but nice too see some new stuff! I will try again tomorrow hopefully you get some more takers I love seeing the mancaves!

we rough scored him at 210 but haven’t had official score done yet. Couple guys that are pretty familiar with scoring said 206-208. I should find a local guy and get it done one of these days.

Very nice Idahoguy, I really like the wolf, that's what's missing in my place!
Thanks I hope you get a bunch of wolves in your north Idaho area this year
There are plenty of wolves, we see tracks almost daily when hunting, they try to get our dogs several times each season, it's literally a race between us and the wolves to get to our hounds first several times each season, we try to be careful but figure that eventually the wolves will get some of our hounds (knocking on wood hoping it doesn't happen). About a week ago wolves flanked the guys and hounds as they were coming out with a freshly taken bear. No doubt, if one of them had not literally been running not far behind the dogs, that day might have been a dark day!
We are still learning about wolves and hoping IDFG will continue to liberalize wolf hunting so hunters can be more successful (which they seem to be slowly doing). We need a year round wolf season in the more remote units.
My son and I both are members and we both feel that the single biggest thing anyone can do to help manage wolves in Idaho is to support this organization: https://www.foundationforwildlifemanagement.org/
TIRED OF WOLVES DESTROYING YOUR WILDLIFE?
F4WM has saved an estimated 50,000 elk, moose, and deer, with science-based predator control.
F4WM is financially responsible for 79% of all wolves trapped in Idaho in the 2015-2016 season.
F4WM brings those who want wolves managed-Idaho Fish & Game, outdoor enthusiests, hunters, and ranchers,-together with those who have the ways and means to get the job done.
My son knows a few of the trappers and they simply cannot afford to trap many wolves without financial help. F4WM reimburses trappers and hunters so much per wolf for their costs, if you are not already a member you should check them out.
My apologies to everyone for the :jacked:
Back to the topic!
I do hope to get a wolf for myself, I think I would do a similar mount as yours or add a wolf on the floor next to my wife's elk/cougar mount!
-
 I am aware of that group and have done some wolf trapping in the past but you are right it is a huge time money commitment. Thanks for the reminder I need to get involved again.i am pretty sure you are guiding where we used to chase a lot of bears so I know the risk you guys are fighting up there with your dogs. That’s why I hope you get a bunch this year! Cool man cave a wolf would be the finishing touch  I think idfg is doing a good job they seem to add more wolf opportunities as quick as they can without getting sued by the greenies
-
are there any good wolf mounts out there??? Would love to see them!!
-
This is one of my favorite threads come on guys keep them coming

What did u use for the accent wall. I was thinking of something similar.
-
I got the wood from my folks when they were remodeling their house. The wood was used as shiplap behind their walls. I think there are quite a few websites where you can find reclaimed wood like this, and Home Depot has quite a few options that would work as well.

 looks like a man house blindluck!! I like it especially mount in the bathroom I might try to sneak one past my wife into bathroom :chuckle:

My wife let me have the guest house to decorate all to myself.👍🏻
-
Blindluck,
You are the envy of every married guy on this site. Bucks in the bathroom... bulls in the bedroom... If you're married, you could make a lot of money teaching a seminar. I'd pay for my wife to go... ;)

Mine is coming together. Few more mounts and it will be looking great. Not sure why the pics a sideways. Maybe someone can help out with that. I'll probably do a thread for this, but I thought i'd put it here too. Last house didn't have a man-cave, so stuff was scattered around wherever the wife would let me put them. Just moved into a new place this spring. Nice to have a man-cave again...

Ya, my wife tried the same thing! She told me that it looked full to her and that if I added any more it would look trashy! What does she know!!!!! I didn't make the Mancave addition with 14 foot high walls for nothing!!! It might be half full!!!! The battle rages on!!!! Don't give up an inch!!!!
