Title: Stock refinish
Post by: lazydrifter on February 17, 2009, 07:46:04 PM
Here are a couple pics of the stock my son and I refinished. It is a Rem. 788 243 and it had the factory birch stock on it that was pretty beat up and we had added about an 1 1/2  inch piece of wood to the back.  We had about $15.00 into this job.  It came out real nice.  Looks like a brand new heavy texture synthetic.

That looks really good!
I was looking at that paint also at the Home Depot, but i went with the oregano green satin, i will sand it down a little and add some other color some day, have to get it to stop FTF'ing (failure to feed) on every round first.

Good job on the facelift. its fun and good on a mans mind.
