Title: R Pod camper
Post by: Bmcox86 on February 19, 2017, 10:51:27 PM
Anyone have an R Pod camper, we are looking hard a the 179 model since we will be doing alot of traveling this summer and with an expected second kid due any day we are out growing the truck bed platform. Looks like around 2500lbs should be nothing for my tundra to haul.

We are going from Alaska to Iowa this summer and stopping everywhere in between

Personally think it's too small for you guys. I'd look into a more traditional 20-24' trailer. 4 of you with baby gear and everything else. I think you'll regret the rpod.

I went to a few more dealerships today and think we found a winner, forest river  wild wood 175BH. 3144 dry weight, alot more roomier. Larger bathroom, two bunks , queensize bed  and the dinner turns into another bed.

I have a 17BH Viking and my wife, two kids, and two dogs make it work.  It would be tight if we were staying inside when it was raining or something, but we really just use it for sleeping, cooking clean-up, and the bathroom.

Cool, we don't stay inside very much are used to just sleeping in a bed platform in the back of my tundra. So this will be a huge upgrade.

What do you tow it with and how is it towing

'05 tundra double cab.  It's a light trailer, but i usually have a bed full of crap, too.  squats a bit more than I like.  Bags are in my future.  Tows fine!
