Title: Bullet ID challenge
Post by: jackelope on February 26, 2017, 12:51:42 PM
Recently, I acquired a box of random bullets. Don't know what they are other than the ziplock bags are marked 150 grain .30 cal, etc. No brand or model name. So the challenge is identifying them. The prize is being able to sleep at night knowing you really know your bullets inside and out.

Here's the first one. The bag says .30-06 150 grain and there are 2 different bullets in this bag.

I'm sure they're all .308 bullets regardless whether you're loading a .308 or a .300 RUM cartridge, right?

Partition is an easy one to identify due to the exposed lead on the base.  Flip it over and there is a lead core showing.  Jay is correct as well, partition is flat base.
