Hey folks! I wanted to let everyone know the new website is up and running.
www.sci-washington.com
The goal of the website is to get people to better understand who SCI is and what we do for the benefit of ALL hunters here in Washington.
For example, in conjunction with the Hunter's Heritage Council we were very instrumental in putting the brakes on the WDFW license and tag fees increases this year. We are constantly working to protect your hunting rights and opportunities as well as putting a lot of money back into wildlife conservation through our fundraising efforts and partnerships with the other sportsmen's groups throughout the state.
Note: The information in the "What We Do" section needs to be significantly expanded upon. To give you an idea, what's currently shown is mostly just from the Seattle Puget Sound Chapter! They alone have put over $2.2 million into conservation, advocacy, education, etc., and there are FIVE other chapters! Needless to say that section will be added to as we collect and compile more historical information.
Anyway, please take a moment to look through the new site and join SCI and a local Chapter near you! If there isn't one near you (in North Central Washington for example) and you are interested in starting one, please let me know.
All the best,
Allen

Glad to hear, SCI is for hunting what NRA is for firearms!
I'm a life member, I don't think there is a better way to support the sport of hunting. Good example: The forest service was closing roads all over north Idaho which would prevent many hunters from having access, certain members got SCI's head office involved and they got it stopped! SCI has made many donations to WDFW for all types of programs and research that have benefitted hunting opportunities in Washington. Bushcraft could probably elaborate on some of the great projects?
