Title: UTG Scope deal
Post by: CP on March 22, 2017, 08:16:50 AM: Anyone have any experience with the UTG Bugbuster? I know it isn't a high end scope but it has pretty good reviews and these prices are are ridiculous:

Post by: marianigp on March 22, 2017, 05:26:38 PM: They're nice scopes for the money and for a .22, that's what I had mine on, a 10/22.
They are heavy and there's not much tube there so your back and forth adjustments are non-existant.
I had to use offset AR rings like the Nikon P series 2 piece rings and they were at the far rear of the picatinny rail in order to get the eye relief I wanted.
The illumated crosshairs work but I never cared for lighted crosshairs anyway.

Main concerns: wieght and eye relief.

For a casual plinker and at that price, you can go wrong.

The description starts with "BEWARE OF COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM CHINA". I guess someone is selling fake UTG scopes directly from China. But you can give it a try, if it's fake then request full refund and keep the scope.

Post by: CP on March 27, 2017, 08:13:59 AM: Appears to be a scam. A 3rd party seller lists too good to be true prices on a number of items then never ships them. I’d expect Amazon to check them out better. They need some extreme vetting.
