I'm looking at new pickups, I was convinced I had to have a Toyota Tacoma, but today I saw a Nissan Frontier that looked really good. Now I used to drive an xterra and loved it. Will I be just as happy with the Nissan? Is it as good a truck as the Toyota?

My sister has a loaded out 2015 Frontier. Nice truck.

I am guessing you will be a lot happier with the $$$ tag on the Nissan. Fuel mileage seems to be a good bit better on the Toyotas though.. The nissan v-6 has been bomb proof in my experience. I sold my 88 Hardbody with over230K hard miles on it and still saw it driving around 10 years later. I sold my 96 Pathfinder last year with 215K on it and it is still going strong. Never an issue with either motor.
I now have a Fronter crew cab SV. All is good other than 15mpg (19 hwy) and the interior plastic (tan) scratches pretty easily.
I saved a ton by getting the SV vs the Pro and was able to add a bunch of accessories with the difference. A locker would have been nice in the snow last week, but still does real well.

You talking new or used? I think there is a new model Frontier coming out next year, might be a nice step up in power and features

I enjoy watching these TFL videos. Here's a match up of the 2016 models they did.

Does Nissan still put the AT cooler inside the radiator?

My middle daughter had two, about 4 years apart. Had huge problems with the shop that sold it to her. They actually had it fall off the lift, dent the door, and tried to blame her!! She got out of the last one and bought a Ford Escape.

Mine is mounted on the front of the radiator.

Seems to be they are coming around as decent rigs with aftermarket parts becoming more and more. Not sure the rush your in, but remember the Ranger is also coming back...I know every trip I've taken down to Central and South America, they are all over and great looking rigs. Plus we all know they get abused way more in those parts than they do here.
