i think i am going to take my 6 year old brother fishing at twin lakes in arlington next to I-5. i never had a lot of luck their. have any tips?? what cind of powerbait?

They stock it april it's real sloooooooooooooow right now.

powerbait.  Use a very small hook with 3-4 feet of leader off of mild weights.  If its not windy you can use a bobber to keep it out of the weeds.  while your there make sure you look along the edge of the lake cuz there are some big ass crawfish in there.  I believe the north lake is reserved for youth and thats where i always saw fish taken more often.

For the North lake, go down to where the little channel connects the two lakes. Fish on the north side of that. I've seen some big trout pulled from right there.

On the southern lake, fish in the south west corner, where the lake lets out at. The trout tend to hang out down there as well as some nice bass. Fish the SW corner and to the north of the corner. Good spot there. That's where I usually take my kids. :tup:
